GLIDER - THE FIRST BNF COMPACT FPV DRONE MADE FOR BLACKMAGIC MICRO G2 CAMERA BY FARINSFRAMES

FLIGHT TIME AND FEELING
Fly a G2 camera like a GoPro. It can carry the weight without problem, up to 8mins of cruising flight time with a 6S 4500mah (landing safely at 3.6v per cell) or around 4mins if pushed hard with extreme acro manouvres.

For the Li-Ion enthusiasts you can mount a 6S 9000mah/10.000mah and get 15-20mins out of it, that works really well with the 8" version to do some crazy mountains shots.

The feeling is really to fly a 5" drone and we wanted to create a mini cinelifter X4 motors without losing the trust/punch but also maintain a nice flight time. Forget that low battery warning after 1min, now you can end your shots and also have the opportunity to find the perfect line before landing.

The 7" version is made for those who like agile and fast drone movements while the 8" version is more soft in flight. Don't worry because both can have a top speed of +140km/h. The pusher configuration helps with the performance with clean air and also at low camera angle there is no props in view. 

CUSTOM CAMERA MOUNT
The custom camera mount is independent from the body thanks to four AlphaGel and the use of two bottom screws to mount the Blackmagic camera to the carbon plate. Inclination is easily changeble with a M4 thumb screw from 0 to 45 degrees. We made a 3D printed TPU pad between the camera and the carbon mount to help with the stability of the camera lens as you can see from the photo below.

This garantees a super clean RAW footage without vibrations or jello. ALL the BNF are PID Tuned singularly. During the final stages a Blackmagic is mounted to check the final result. This can take few days but for us is super important to give a TOP product which won't disappoint during shooting days. GPS RTH is tested and is configured to land automatically to the home point.
ALL the settings in BETAFLIGHT are taken care of, including the custom OSD page, flight modes and telemetry.

GPS M10 5883 STAND

This 3D printed GPS stand is created to have a clean look and better signal before and during flight. It only takes a few seconds after turning on the drone to have +10 sats, which is necessary to have a good GPS RTH point. Being away from the electronic interferences GPS sats are more stable. GPS RTH is configured and tested with a Blackmagic micro G2 and 6S 3500/4500mah lipo battery.

PPACF BODY
The GLIDER Body is made by PPACF (fiber-reinforced nylon technical material) which is much stronger than usual 3D Printed parts. This gives a super high strength and elasticity to it at the same time. It can take hit very well and have a high melting point around 250°C.

Two bodies included in the BNF: ALL SEASON and SNOW edition

ALL SEASON BODY:
It's designed to give the best airflow around all the weathers condition and outside temperatures. Front, back and side airvents are necessary in summer to keep in control the Flight controller (under 40°C) and ESCs temperature (under 60°C). 
ESCs are equipped by metal MOFSET to keep the internal temperature low.

SNOW BODY:
It's designed to let you fly and land in the snow without damaging the internal electronics, during winter the internal temperature will stay under 25-30°C which is optimal. Please don't use this body in other conditions or when the outside temperatures starts to rise like in summer. The internal temperature of the ESC must not exceed 80°C otherwise there is a risk of damaging the components. (OSD Value is active by default to check it during flight)

2X USBC PORTS ACCESS

One USBC in the front is installed to have direct access to the FC, you can bind the RX TBS directly from betaflight so there is no need to open the body to search for the RX, we suggest you to bind it via Betaflight Receiver tab and use this USBC port to do all the changes you need.
Another second USBC port is installed in the back to have access to the DJI O3 air unit, this port can be used for future upgrades or just download the air unit files if you need to.

HEATSINK FOR DJI O3
A heatsink is installed on the DJI O3 air unit to keep the internal temperature very low, have a stable video feed on the ground and during flight is so important and this solution won't let overheat the air unit and during flight the dissipation is great. The metal part will take fresh air from outside lowering the temperature inside the Glider body.

FOLDABLE ARMS
All the carbon frame kit parts are made by our custom italian carbon fiber sheet, in particular the arms are 8mm thickness for the best flight performance. In addition to that there is the possibility to fold the arms, just few seconds to unscrew the M4 thumb screws and save some space during travel with the Torvol backpack or B&W Hardcase. (normal screw are also inside the package)

CUSTOM SSD MOUNTS
PPACF material is also used for the custom SSD mount, using the LP battery tray on the back of the G2 camera. You can check all the version we have here at this link or you can print yourself and download for free the files here
