TANK 55 - WHOOPLIFTER MADE FOR BLACKMAGIC MICRO G2 and NAKED CAMERA
FLIGHT TIME AND FEELING
The TANK55 is a WhoopLifter designed to carry a BLACKMAGIC Micro G2 Camera or Blackmagic Naked Camera for indoor/outdoor shooting. Use 5.5" propellers and dimensions is around 33x33cm.
We suggest to use 6S 4500mah lipo battery to have a solid 6-7mins of cruising, doing acro manouvres the flight time will be lower.
It can carry also other type of batteries such as 2X 6S 2200mah or 2X 6S 1800mah with a flight time of 4min.
The flight feeling of this mini cinelifter mixed to a cinewhoop which we would like to call WHOOPLIFTER is similar to a 2.5" fpv cinewhoop drone with a GoPro Naked camera, it has enough trust to carry the Blackmagic Micro G2 camera.
Can handle some acro flight and the top speed is +100km/h.
CUSTOM CAMERA MOUNT
If you choose the Blackmagic Micro G2 mount + alphagel everything will be installed and working out of the box.
The custom camera mount is independent from the body thanks to four AlphaGel and the use of two bottom screws to mount the Blackmagic camera to the carbon plate. Inclination is easily changeble with a M4 thumb screw from 0 to 45 degrees. We made a 3D printed TPU pad between the camera and the carbon mount to help with the stability of the camera lens as you can see from the photo below. (without choosing this option you can also mount it in the future or use the 4 standard holes on the frame body for the Blackmagic Naked Camera)
This garantees a super clean RAW footage without vibrations or jello. ALL the BNF are PID Tuned singularly. During the final stages a Blackmagic is mounted to check the final result. This can take few days but for us is super important to give a TOP product which won't disappoint during shooting days.
GPS RTH is tested and is configured to land automatically to the home point.
ALL the settings in BETAFLIGHT are taken care of, including the custom OSD page, flight modes and telemetry.
GPS M10 5883 STAND
This 3D printed GPS stand is created to have a clean look and better signal before and during flight. It only takes a few seconds after turning on the drone to have +10 sats, which is necessary to have a good GPS RTH point. Being away from the electronic interferences GPS sats are more stable. GPS RTH is configured and tested with a Blackmagic
micro G2 and 6S 3500/4500mah lipo battery.
PPACF DUCTS ADDITIONAL PROTECTIONS
Those 3D printed protection are optional to use (included in the BNF), for those who need safer scenario for when external people are present during the shot expecially for indoor flights. Removing them won't affect the structure or the performance of the drone.
This addictional protection is made by PPACF (fiber-reinforced nylon technical material) which is much stronger than usual 3D Printed parts. This gives a super high strength and elasticity to it at the same time. It can take hit very well and have a high melting point around 250°C.
The four carbon duct are detachable from the body. Remove easily all the ducts unfasten the screws placed in the front/back and the side of the drone. It's two screws per duct so in 5min you have a cinewhoop/mini cinelifter without propguards saving 200g in weight.
HEATSINK FOR DJI O3
A heatsink is installed on the DJI O3 air unit to keep the internal temperature very low, have a stable video feed on the ground and during flight is so important and this solution won't let overheat the air unit and during flight the dissipation is great. The metal part will take fresh air from outside lowering the temperature of the air unit.
CUSTOM SSD MOUNTS
PPACF material is also used for the custom SSD mount, using the LP battery tray on the back of the G2 camera. You can check all the version we have here at this link or you can print yourself and download for free the files here
Tank 55 will be delivered already assembled, configured and flight-tested with a Blackmagic Micro G2 camera to bring you the Whoop-Lifter immediately ready for duty on the set!
